CHALLENGE
Large reservation listings and complex joins created significant response-time problems while the platform still needed consistent multi-country operational rules.
CONTRIBUTION
Maintained Yii2 reservation workflows and improved a data-heavy listing from more than two minutes to under 30 seconds through database and application profiling and optimisation.
IMPLEMENTED / DELIVERED
- Profiled slow reservation queries and application execution paths across 10k+ records.
- Added indexes and refactored stored procedures and joins.
- Reduced selected fields and repeated queries and removed unnecessary loop and inline-edit payload work.
- Applied pagination and caching to reduce page-load cost.
- Reduced the key reservation listing from more than two minutes to under 30 seconds.
- Verified behaviour through query profiling, debug tooling and manual regression testing.
